It’s August, Women’s Month and we here at All Bags believe we should celebrate inspirational women within the fashion industry and there is no better way to start off this campaign by celebrating the inspirational, Tory Burch. Born on the 17th of June 1966, the American fashion designer, business woman and philanthropist has surely made a name for herself within the fashion industry and beyond.
Chairman, CEO and designer of Tory Burch LLC, as well as being listed as the 73rd Most Powerful Woman In The World by Forbes in 2015, Tory Burch has become a household name and her brand seems to be growing from strength to strength. Her fashion label ‘TRB by Tory Burch’, later know as ‘Tory Burch’ launched in February in 2014 with her first store opening in Manhattan. Almost all of Burch’s inventory was sold out on the first day, as her clothing range had already been popularised by the hit TV series, Gossip Girl. Preppy-boho is the best way to describe Burch’s collection, which became a hot trend during the duration of the TV series.
With 200 stores world-wide, the Tory Burch brand is world-renowned. Burch has won several awards including, ‘Best New Retail Concept’, ‘Accessory Brand Of The Year’, as well as consistently being listed in Forbes’ list of ‘The 100 Most Powerful Women’. Not only is Tory Burch an incredible designer and business woman, she is also passionate about being involved in various philanthropic foundations, such as those for cancer research, as well as ‘The Tory Foundation’ which supports the economic empowerment of women in the U.S.
Tory Burch is an empowered women who empowers women. We need to applaud women like her, so that we may inspire more women empowerment world-wide!
